The plane, arriving late Saturday night in Denver, is packed. But
who's traveling? As we waited to board, one gentleman sitting with his
laptop told us he worked for PBS's Tavis Smiley. He was excited about
going: it was his first convention.
As the boarding call was made, we saw ABC's excellent investigative
reporter Brian Ross boarding during the "section 1" seating, for
passengers flying in business or first class. Doubtless he'll be
"following the money" and being excluded from parties - at least with
his camera. Maybe we can finagle our way into some.

The thing about having an aisle seat is you never know who will bump
into you. Bottlenecked behind the dinner cart was none other than
Dominic Carter, host of "Inside City Hall" on NY1 News, the 24 hour
newschannel devoted to (and broadcast only in) New York City. He said
the channel was sending some 40 people; a very sizable contingent for
that channel.
