Protesters Set To Head To Xcel

It's 90 degrees and sunny in downtown St. Paul, where protesters have gathered to march on the Xcel Center. Their numbers appear to be slightly fewer than they previously anticipated - perhaps diminished by Hurricane Gustav thwarting President Bush's arrival at the convention.
They say they expect a peaceful march.
The police presence is heavy, and the police batons run roughly the length of an adult leg.
