Water Ban

Security concerns at the Xcel Center have been a mixed bag day-by-day.

On Monday, fresh fruit and water bottles were verboten from being brought in since they could be used as projectiles at speakers. (Just 50 feet inside the main door, however, is a concession stand selling fresh fruit and bottles of water -- for twice the cost over local grocery store prices.)

Yesterday my videocamera triggered an additional search at the side of the line.

Today, the battery pack for a camera lamp raised some sort of flag.

And yet, the 24 ounce bottle of water strapped to the outside of the bag? No worries. Go figure.
