Mile High Heat Claims Media Victim

Seen outside the Pepsi Center, next to the front gate: A man in serious distress, covered in flop sweat, struggling for breath. Daniel Larsen and Andrew Coneen, teachers from Chicago who we were to meet there, were rendering aid as best they could. The man seemed in increasingly dire straits, doubling over on himself as though pulled down by the weight of the media credentials which dangled from his neck, gasping for breath outside of the massive CNN Grill complex. We asked a waitress to summon help - with so many hundreds of emergency workers around us, it wouldn't take long for it to come. The bright Denver sun seems to have hit him particularly hard, and it seemed as though, when he pressed a glass of ice water to his neck, the glass itself would melt against his skin. Hopefully he's ok.
